The Founders of Everything Hair & Beauty

A Lifelong Passion for Hair & Beauty

The founders of Everything Hair & Beauty, John and Kelly, both began their careers in the hair and beauty industry at a very young age.

John started helping in his father's barber shop in Kensington at just nine years old, sweeping floors, restocking shelves, and learning the trade from the ground up. Back then, the barber shop also sold shaving products, hair products, and tobacco, as barber shops traditionally doubled as tobacconists. By the age of fourteen, John was already cutting hair and ordering stock, as the business had expanded into hairdressing and haircare.

Kelly discovered her love of hair from a young age, beginning work in hairdressing salons after school and during school holidays from age fourteen. Once qualified in both hair and beauty, she went on to build a strong reputation for her work in bridal styling, fashions on the field, and formal hair-ups.

Building a Melbourne Hair & Beauty Legacy

John and Kelly came together in 1997 and successfully ran their own salon for two decades, all while raising two boys within the business, both of whom are now showing a genuine passion for the industry themselves. Over this time, the salon's retail side grew significantly, with new hair and beauty brands constantly introduced. It was during this period that the vision for Everything Hair & Beauty was born.

The Birth of Everything Hair & Beauty

In 2016, the long-awaited project began in Keilor Park to lay the foundations for Everything Hair & Beauty. Inspired by a clean, modern, industrial aesthetic, the showroom was designed to stand apart from current trends, combining a bricks-and-mortar retail experience with the convenience of online shopping.

Our goal was to create a space with something for everyone: a place where customers could not only purchase an extensive range of hair, beauty, and barber products, but also see and experience the latest products in person, backed by genuine industry knowledge and expertise.
